As many of you are aware, Andrew Thurston has been consulting at the Hertfordshire Clinic since its inception a year ago. He is now able to offer a full prostate assessment, including flow rate, ultrasound measurement of residual urine and, if indicated, trans-rectal ultrasound-guided biopsy of the prostate.
The above is in addition to his general urological consultations and vasectomy service as already established here at the Hertfordshire Clinic.

Bridgitte Harley has degrees in Audiology and Speech & Language Pathology as well as being qualified as a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser. Her current NHS role is Paediatric Clinical Audiologist. Bridgitte is also Clinical Lead for Children’s Hearing Services within the West Herts PCT, managing the diagnosis of hearing loss and rehabilitation of babies referred through from the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme.
Prior to this Bridgitte spent 3 years training as a specialist in Hearing Aid technology and including doing research in Hearing Aid fittings for children. Her current interests are in early diagnosis of hearing loss in babies and management of children with hearing impairment. Bridgitte’s additional interests lie within the field of Tinnitus in adults.

Professor Hong studied both Chinese medicine and western medicine for six years in the Shanghai university and Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and was awarded masters degree in medicine.
After graduating from university, he gained considerable experience in clinical practice in a university hospital, as well as researching and teaching in the university for 14 years.
He specialises in asthma. As director, he has completed 4 research projects funded by China government and got 2 research awards from Shanghai municipality of China. He has also published 10 research papers and 2 books.
He is an associate professor of Shanghai university of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a committee member of Clinical Branch of Chinese Acupuncture Association, member of Shanghai Breath Association of Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine.
He was invited by Singapore government hospital as acupuncture specialist and has worked in Huamei Acupuncture Clinic, Alexandra hospital for 1 year (2000-2001).
He was invited to come to England in 2003 as a fully qualified Chinese medical consultant. He has built up a very busy practice.

Acupuncture
Yueying is an experienced acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. She has been practicing since 1992. She usually practices on a Saturday morning at The Hertfordshire Clinic.
Yueying trained in traditional Chinese medicine in Beijing. She was awarded Master of Science in TCM in the UK. She integrates traditional Chinese medicine practice and theory with conventional knowledge to improve her patients' wellbeing.
